Bird boxes cleaned and mapped, steps repaired and the notice board back upright — a productive start to the year.
Our first volunteer session of 2024 was a really successful one, and huge thanks as always to our brilliant team. Working together, we repaired several of the steps and located, checked and cleaned almost all of our twenty bird boxes. We also gave each box its own What3Words location, which will make finding and maintaining them far easier in future years.
Another group finished off the work started last time on the notice board by Stan at the entrance, which is now repaired and standing upright once more. It was a chilly morning, but the rain held off until we had everything packed away — and Gail’s cake went down a treat as always. This time it was “school cake”, which brought back plenty of memories for a few of us!
