Our most ambitious session yet: replacing the entire fence around the pond — all 60 metres of it.
Thank you, volunteers! We’d said this was probably the most ambitious volunteer session we’ve ever run, and unusually we had almost everyone working on the same task — replacing the fence around the pond.
The old fence had to come out first, which was no easy job, and then we unrolled and erected fourteen rolls of the new one. Sixty metres is a lot of fence! We appreciated several compliments along the way — and an unexpected donation from a passing visitor — and we hope everyone went home with a real sense of achievement after a very worthwhile morning.
