A butterfly survey with Butterfly Conservation, plus strimming and tippy-tap building, made for a fascinating and productive morning.
A very enjoyable volunteer session! We were delighted with the number of people who came along, and those who joined the butterfly walk with Alan from Butterfly Conservation were full of enthusiasm for what they’d learned. It was a shame there weren’t more butterflies around to identify, but that in itself is a useful piece of fact-finding.
Other volunteers chose to strim back the nettles and brambles that have shot up over the last month, or to help make new tippy taps for the entrance. Altogether a very useful morning — a big thank you to all!
